Mrs May has done what she is best at – political manipulation.
She has very cleverly called for a vote on a General Election on 8th June because she knows that Mr Corbyn and the Labour Party will find it impossible not to accept the challenge, and under Mr Corbyn they will do very badly.
But more importantly what does it mean for Brexit and our Exit from the EU?
Mrs May intends to arrive at a ‘deal’ with the EU that will mean we leave in name but not in reality.
She intends that in another two years when we see the final Withdrawal Agreement, not a single EU law will have been repealed or amended. And then she intends to incorporate the entire body of EU law in to UK law.
She has not ruled out continuing to pay the EU some money, and will back-track on open borders.
If she wins she will have five long years to betray the decision of the Referendum.
