I was very pleased to be invited to speak to the Bruges Group Conference on the subject of ‘Brexit: What has happened, what should happen’.

The event was held in a packed hall, with standing room only, at the Royal Over-Seas League in London.

In short, I said that, Brexit must mean exit, or it means nothing at all. I explained how our Government should make the EU an offer it cannot refuse, not ask it for a deal it does not want to give.

It was a great pleasure to speak once again at the prestigious Bruges Group Conference and to meet so many people dedicated to making Brexit a reality.

One aspect of Brexit that is not being discussed in the media, and which I highlighted, is how Mrs May proposed ‘Security Treaty’ will bind us to being part of the EU’s planned armed forces.  Indeed the negotiations on a ‘deal’ are being deliberately delayed so that we can be fully signed-up to the military ambitions of the EU before it is concluded.
