Gerard Batten MEP asks questions of the Electoral Commission
At a meeting of the LIBE Committee (Civil Liberties Justice and Home Affairs) in Brussels on 25th June, Gerard Batten had an opportunity to ask a one-minute question to members of the panel enquiring into the activities of Cambridge Analytica and the use of social media and digital technologies in elections and referenda.
The panel included a representative of the UK s Electoral Commission.
I put two questions regarding the EU Referendum of 2016.
The first question was answered, but my second question was not.
The second question concerned the intervention of President Obama in the Referendum and how this was permissible.
You can make your own judgement on why the EC had problems giving a straight answer.
